Another mock torch run was held in the Battlefords this week, this time at Sakewew High School, to promote the Olympic torch which will be coming through the Battlefords Jan. 12 next year, on its way to the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. North West Regional College President Bryan Nylander and University of Regina Associate Dean of Research Graduate Studies Dr. Warren Wessel this week signed a deal to provide a master of education course for students in the Northwest, including the Battlefords and Meadow Lake, via North West Regional College. This marks the second time the course has been offered. The new program will begin in July, 2010. Nineteen students were enrolled in the first program. All are expected to complete the program this December. Daily News photo by Doug Collie
